Brief

We partnered with Danone and Havas PR to inspire children who were participating in the Danone Nations Cup event to recycle. The Danone Nations Cup is a global football event for children aged 10-12 years old. We worked alongside Havas PR to execute an idea with inspiring these children to recycle in a fun and engaging way.

 

Execution

We created the world’s first mobile recycling machine that was able to melt down plastic and instantly turn it into football medals. With the children we shredded and melted the water bottles used by the children and used this plastic to create unique, recycled medals for them to take home. The recycling machine toured the UK, attending multiple events and inspiring thousands of children to recycle. We also built several large trophies from recycled plastic that were used for photo opportunities and to deposit the plastic bottles in before they were recycled.

 

Results

The campaign was a success, gaining both local and national press coverage for Danone. Every team had a photo with the trophy and machines. These made local news and were highly social. It also educated thousands of children about recycling in an engaging and fun way, demonstrating how their plastic waste can be recycled into something else.
